Securely Replace Missing Teeth with Dental Implants

Missing teeth can cause trouble eating and speaking clearly, and have negative consequences on your overall oral health. To help our patients in New York, NY, protect the integrity of their smile, Manhattan Dental Practices offers dental implants. Dental implants are surgically placed in the jaw and can secure a crown, denture, or bridge. By replacing the entire tooth from root to crown, you can enjoy incredibly durable and natural-looking results. Our board-certified oral surgeon uses advanced technology and techniques to safely place and restore dental implants.

Implants are placed in the jaw, where they directly fuse with the surrounding bone tissue.

Superior Tooth Replacement

Dental implants are small titanium posts that are designed to replace tooth roots. They provide support to crowns, dentures, and bridges to replace the entire tooth both above and below the gumline.

Implant-supported restorations have a variety of advantages over traditional restorations:

Improved Bone Health
By replacing tooth roots, dental implant posts stimulate the jaw bone just like natural teeth. This halts the bone recession that results from tooth loss. This also benefits the surrounding teeth as the supportive tissues will remain in place, providing stability and preventing them from becoming loose.
Fully Restored Function
Attaching your restoration to a dental implant allows it to function as reliably as your natural tooth. This allows you to chew and speak without worrying about your restoration slipping out of place.
Natural-Looking Results
The full functionality of your implant paired with the realistic restorations we provide offer completely natural-looking results so you can feel confident in your smile.

The Treatment Process

The dental implant process consists largely of two parts: inserting the posts and securing the restoration. Some candidates may require preparatory procedures at our office, such as bone grafting or a sinus lift. These patients will need to fully heal before receiving their implants.

We highly recommend that dental implants are used to secure your restoration for the most stable and natural-looking results.

The first portion of your treatment will involve surgically placing the dental implant into the jaw. Our practice has invested in the latest technology to improve the planning process and precisely place the posts. Once this step is complete, the gums may be sutured closed to facilitate healing or a temporary restoration may be placed. With advanced techniques, such as All-on-4® implants, we can often attach a denture on the same day as your surgery.

Once the implant post has fused with the jaw bone, about four to six months later, you will return to our office to receive your final restoration. Your denturecrown, or bridge will be attached to the dental implants with abutments, or connector pieces, and remain firmly fixed in place.

How Much Do Dental Implants Cost?

Dental implants are an excellent investment in your long-term oral health. The baseline cost for a single implant at our practice, not including the abutment or restoration, is $2,200. The total cost of your treatment will depend on several factors, such as:

  • Type of dental implant
  • Number of implants required
  • Type of restoration needed
  • Preparatory procedures

While dental implants are not typically covered by insurance, you can apply for financing through CareCredit®. We also offer in-house payment plans to break up the total cost of your treatment.
