Implant-supported restorations have a variety of advantages over traditional restorations:
The dental implant process consists largely of two parts: inserting the posts and securing the restoration. Some candidates may require preparatory procedures at our office, such as bone grafting or a sinus lift. These patients will need to fully heal before receiving their implants.
We highly recommend that dental implants are used to secure your restoration for the most stable and natural-looking results.
The first portion of your treatment will involve surgically placing the dental implant into the jaw. Our practice has invested in the latest technology to improve the planning process and precisely place the posts. Once this step is complete, the gums may be sutured closed to facilitate healing or a temporary restoration may be placed. With advanced techniques, such as All-on-4® implants, we can often attach a denture on the same day as your surgery.
Once the implant post has fused with the jaw bone, about four to six months later, you will return to our office to receive your final restoration. Your denture, crown, or bridge will be attached to the dental implants with abutments, or connector pieces, and remain firmly fixed in place.
Dental implants are an excellent investment in your long-term oral health. The baseline cost for a single implant at our practice, not including the abutment or restoration, is $2,200. The total cost of your treatment will depend on several factors, such as:
While dental implants are not typically covered by insurance, you can apply for financing through CareCredit®. We also offer in-house payment plans to break up the total cost of your treatment.
